Welcome to Our Site
Woodburn United Soccer Club is committed to providing affordable, competitive soccer to all interested youth and their families in the Woodburn, Salem/Keizer and surrounding areas. The purpose of Woodburn United is to promote the development of competitive youth soccer through organization, education and training. The Club is dedicated to fair play by encouraging teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership and a respect for the rules.
State Cup
Each year the Oregon Youth Soccer Association (OYSA) holds the Oregon State Cup which is a tournament for determining the teams who will represent the state at the Far West Regionals (Region IV).
Club Fundraiser
The annual Woodburn United fundraiser is a vital income source for the club. Each team is required to participate and the team who raises the most money earns a prize. This year the club is looking for some great ideas for a fundraiser - Do you have any? Fundraising is an excellent opportunity to work with your team and your club. The monies raised help the teams with costs for league play, scholarships, and training opportunities.
Club Meetings
Woodburn United holds club meetings either the 1st or 2nd Sunday of each month at 7:00pm. Board members and team representatives are required to attend the monthly meetings. Parents and other interested parties are encouraged to attend. The meetings are at 7:00pm at Chemeketa Community College, Building 4, Room 281.
Club Accomplishments
In 2006 the Woodburn United Monarcas won the U12 Boys Division for the Oregon State Cup. With this proud victory the Monarcas represented the State of Oregon in Boise, Idaho, at the 2006 Far West Regionals. In Idaho the Monarcas played teams from California, Arizona, and Washington. The players, coaches and parents returned with an enlightened outlook of competitive soccer. Well done Monarcas!
